Time to try for a change, and not the kind of bullshit change the politicians offer, but a true change... and one that's been in dire need for a long time. Everyone, i don't know what the cause is, but each person I know and see and love is completely shot down and stranded in abysmal moods. It sucks, I've lived the last for years in a dominantly shit-tastic mood, from complete lack of emotional attention, to just the stresses of trying to fit in with the people of affection and idolization. High School sucks, this is a lesson quickly learned, and often one never solved or even helped, and we, or at least I, focused intently on what I was doing wrong... This focus was my downfall, or I suppose it's a personality flaw, I dwell on the past, no I live in the past, always analyzing, never living for the moment. This summer has taught me a few things. The first of the things is the realization that we have no control over anything other than the moment, and to a lesser extent, our futures. With this realization, came a question: If we live for the past, how can we enjoy our brighter moments? Humans are negative focus creatures, I don't know anyone who is a stronger embodiment of this than myself, and I now know the consequences, four more years of regrets... When you focus on the regrets, you just cause more of them for yourself (well, this is my case) and cliche as this sounds, life is too short to have regrets. I haven't offered a solution, mainly because I dont have one, I can only put this up in my journal in the hopes that it can remind me and maybe others of all we lose when we focus on our regrets. We lose our joy, our distraction, our neutrality, our optimism, our affections, and our love.
tl;dr Life is fucking short, live it for all it's worth
